I used to hate my body. I used to always take out an extra jumper or a coat so I could put it over my stomach when I sat down. I never wanted anyone to see my belly rolls. I used to breath in and make myself feel SO uncomfortable, all to make myself look smaller.
It wasn’t until I met my partner that I realised how uncomfortable I was making myself and how much I hated, hating myself. I realised I had too accept my body before I was able to love my body.
I had to push myself to stop covering myself up. I needed to see other women who had the same bodies as me, not just the size 0 women you see on TV or on the cover of magazines.
I needed to see and feel like my body was normal and something that I shouldn’t be ashamed of. I needed to free my mind and body from societies unrealistic expectations of how women should look and act.
So, today I am here telling you that your body is normal. Your body is nothing to be ashamed of. Every body is worthy. Every body is beautiful. Stop judging and picking your body apart. Stop comparing yourself to others. You deserve love. Your body deserves to be loved.
Loving your body is liberating!💖
